I created this Tribute Fund in memory of one of the most awesome people I've ever met, and I'm sure I ever will meet - my grandmother, Maureen John. I'm proud to be able to raise money in tribute to her, in particular because she shaped my life so much. Without her I wouldn't have the strength, determination and downright stubborness to even try and complete such a task. This is just my small way of saying thank you for everything she ever did for me - I know I'll be grateful for the rest of my life. Between the 6th - 14th of November 2010 I'll be trekking the Sahara Desert to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Action. This trip has been organised via Skyline Events, and the minimum sponsorship I need to raise is £2000, and roughly half of this will go towards the costs of the trip. Therefore, I've set myself a fundraising target of £5000, to raise as much as I possibly can for a charity that does such invaluable work. Via this page I can fundraise, and at the same time keep journals of how the efforts are going - and if you're really lucky, I'll add a photo or two of me in some rather unattractive walking boots :) I suppose nothing can be worse than a skydiving jumpsuit...
